Its only April and we have our 7th rabid skunk in Pueblo County.
The latest skunk to test positve comes from:
1200 Block of Elko near Minnequa Lake and St. Mary Corwin
Luckily there was no human or animal contact involved in this incident. Please be aware of yourself, children, and pets taking care to make sure they are under your control when outdoors.

Rabies is here and it has become a REAL threat to both Pueblo County residents and their pets. Pueblo Animal Services and the Pueblo City-County Health Department remind individuals that vaccination against rabies is mandatory for all dogs and cats in Pueblo County.
