Yes rabies has a "season!"
As the rabies season begins to slow down, it is important for us to take the necessary steps to bat proof our homes and skunk proof our yards!
Take a look around your house and cover any holes or openings that may allow access to your home for a bat.
Make sure your yard is free of clutter and debris, which make good harborage area's for skunks.
Most Important: Now is the PERFECT time to make sure all pets are CURRENT on their rabies shots!!!!!!
Rabies is here and it has become a REAL threat to both Pueblo County residents and their pets. Pueblo Animal Services and the Pueblo City-County Health Department remind individuals that vaccination against rabies is mandatory for all dogs and cats in Pueblo County.
