Here We Go Again:
The 9th skunk has tested positive in Pueblo County. This one involved an attack on a litter of puppies around 10 o'clock in the evening. The attack happened at:
2200 Block of Daniel Rd. 81006
It is so important to keep your dogs vaccinated.
FOR LITTERS OF PUPPIES TO YOUNG TO VACCINATE:
Please keep your litter of puppies in a secure location at all times or under supervision when outdoors. Remember we are seeing these skunks climbing fences and digging under them to get to dogs. Indoors in a secure location is the best untill 28 days after their first rabies shot.
Rabies is here and it has become a REAL threat to both Pueblo County residents and their pets. Pueblo Animal Services and the Pueblo City-County Health Department remind individuals that vaccination against rabies is mandatory for all dogs and cats in Pueblo County.
